ABOUT THE BOOK & AUTHOR

This is not an anthem of individual poems, but a poetic depiction of a saga of a living tally that was lost to the hero of the book, who renders a faithful narration thereof to his wife on the nuptial bed in the words of eminent scribe Subhas Chandra Pattanayak in his young days, as far back as in 1972.

Founder Representative-in-Chief of orissamatters.com, Sri Pattanayak, a working journalist of four decades standing, stands conspicuous amongst members of his fraternity by his contributions to arts, culture, biosphere and literature of Orissa over and above his cogent interpretations of her unique history and heritage.

His innumerable in-depth bylines on administration, both in print and online media, are examples of how meticulously a peoples'
conscience-keeper may act in discharging his duties to democracy. But this old work shows how the wordsmith in him had, so many years ago, inscribed in excellent lucidity the intricate feelings of a lover to whom his requited love was lost.
